I read many blog posts and very few hit home like this one did. Here Michelle Ward, aka The When I Grow Up Coach, talks about the success of her first year and what it will take to make it last. The Benefits of Being a Beginner.

Front Page!!!!!
My personalized modern tree was on the FP of Etsy and I missed it!!! Ah, but it was there, and I got 663 hits off of it. Thank you sweetharvey for your wonderful treasury. Love it! I am so mad I missed it though. I was busy feeding my children lunch, darn children.
Thank you to ChezSucreChez and The Smiths for the title!

Open Studio with Helen Rawlinson
Etsy profiles different studios in their Open Studio feature. This week they've featured Helen Rawlinson a pattern designer and screen printer. I love seeing inside studios.

Modern Finds
Usually I enjoy looking through Etsy Finds, but today is extra special. No, none of my items are listed, but I love everything that is listed in this Modern collection. Enjoy.

Media coverage - fingers crossed
I have been busy today emailing media about my new business CHILDish. It is my belief that if you don't tell people about your business then they won't know about it. Revolutionary I know. I've had a handful of responses and might just have some real media coverage. I will keep you posted if anything gets published.

CHILDish Fundraising
Today was a big day. I ventured out in the record breaking snow fall with 2 kids to get photos taken of my CHILDishs. It was a success, we didn't get stuck and came home with some cute photos. I was able to update my website and am now ready to spread the word.

Me!
I haven't been blogging much because I have actually been cheating on Blogger and learning all about Wordpress. It's hard for me to say that here, but it's true! I've been building my Top Secret Project #2 website with wordpress.org and it's coming along nicely (now). A lot of learning and ups and downs, but I am almost finished. Monday morning my dishes are heading to the photo studio for their very first photo session. Once I update the website with the new photos I'll be able to launch! Very exciting. I hope next week.
I was also working on a Facebook page for Top Secret Project #2 and realized I hadn't yet made my own CHILDish face. I love it! I'll be ordering a plate and bowl set and am looking forward to eating my breakfast Cheerios in my very own bowl.

Faux Logs
Love this simple tutorial from Design Sponge. Make yourself some faux wood to decorate your fireplace.
Orla Kiely
A little update on the post I blogged before Christmas (the one where I attacked a woman at the mall who had an Orla Kiely diaper bag). Well, lucky me I found this beautiful bag under my Christmas tree. My sister picked it up for me when she was in London. The Orla Kiely fan I met at the mall also mentioned that Orla Kiely usually has good sales on in January. She was right. I purchased a matched wallet for half off. Many items are still half off and shipping to Canada is reasonable.
Arlene Adams
I came across this wonderful illustrator today, Arlene Adams. I love how she uses simple shapes to make detailed illustrations. She also has an amazing sense of colour.
